Front Spring Installation.
NOTE
Front and rear springs are installed the same
on all models except M984E1. Front spring is
shown

Soldier A and Soldier B install spring (1).
Coat threads of four screws (2) with
lubricating oil. Install saddle cap (3),
four screws, and washers (4).
Install four washers (5) and nuts (6). Do
not tighten nuts.
Coat threads of two screws (7) with
lubricating oil. Install two
locknuts (8) and lockwashers (9)
on screws. Install and tighten
screws to 150 lb-ft (203 N•m).
Tighten locknuts.

Install screw (10), spacer (11),
and locknut (12).
Install pin (13).
Install two screws (14), four
washers (15), and two
locknuts (16).

Install grease fitting (17).
Soldier A and Soldier B
tighten screws (2) and nuts (6)
to 300 lb-ft (407 N•m).
