Remove screw (33) and nut (34)
from lever (12).
Remove lever (12) from
shaft (35).
Remove spring pin (36) and
link (37).
b. Cleaning/Inspection.
WARNING
Adhesives, solvents, and sealing
compounds can burn easily, can give off
harmful vapors, and are harmful to skin
and clothing. lb avoid i~ury or death,
keep away from open fire and use in
well-ventilated area. If adhesive, solvent,
or sealing compound gets on skin or
clothing, wash immediately with
soap and water.

Remove gland (38), preformed
packing (39), and seal (40).
Note position and remove shaft (35) and
cam (41).
Remove plug (42) from elbow (14).
MATCHMA
Clean all metal parts with dry cleaning solvent.
WARNING
Compressed air used for cleaning purposes will not exceed 30 psi (207 kPa). Use
only with effective chip guarding and personal protective equipment, goggles,
shield, and gloves.
Dry metal parts with compressed air.
Inspect all metal parts for bends, breaks, cracks, and sharp edges.
Inspect springs for cracks and distortion.
Replace damaged parts.
