16. MAIN FRAME, HOOK ARM, AND WINCH DO NOT OPERATE (continued).
CONTINUITY TEST
(1) Disconnect remote control cable
from remote control unit.
REMOTE CONTROL
(2) Set multimeter to ohms position.
CONNECTOR (J9)
(3) Position EMERGENCY STOP
switch in the ON position.
NOTE
A reading of infinity during the
activation of any function
indicates an open circuit in the
remote control.
(4) Connect multimeter leads to
positions E and L on remote
control unit and have an assistant
REMOTE CONTROL
activate the MAIN FRAME (LOAD
UNIT
and UNLOAD), HOOK ARM
(LOAD and UNLOAD) and WINCH
(IN and OUT) controls one at a
time. Check multimeter for
continuity during the activation of
each individual function.
