b. Installation.
WARNING
Adhesives, solvents, and sealing
compounds can burn easily, can give off
harmful vapors, and are harmful to skin
and clothing. To avoid injury or death,
keep away from open fire and use in
well-ventilated area. If adhesive, solvent,
or sealing compound gets on skin or
clothing, wash immediately with soap and
water.

Apply pipe thread sealing compound on
threads of pipe nipple (1) and install in
elbow (2).
(2)
Install nipple (1) and elbow (2) in
reducer bushing (3).
(3)
Apply pipe thread sealing compound on
threads of reducer bushing (3) and
install in flowmeter (4).
NOTE
Some vehicles have a pipe nipple (6) and
an elbow. Other vehicles have an elbow
which includes the nipple.
(4)
Apply pipe thread sealing
compound on threads of two pipe
nipples (5 and 6) and install in SP
SAMPLING PROBE (7).
(5)
Install pipe nipple (6) or SP
SAMPLING PROBE (7) on
elbow (2).
