a. Removal.
NOTE
There are two kinds of control valves. Model A has the top mounting screw on the left side
of the top elbow. Model B has the top mounting screw on the right side of the top elbow.
Both valves are removed the same way. However, if one type of valve must be replaced by
the other type, the mounting bracket, valve lever, clevis pin, and cotter pin must be
changed also. Refer to TM 9-2320-279-24P for proper identification of parts.

Remove cotter pin (1) and pin (2) from valve lever (3) and clevis (4).
(2)
Loosen two nuts (5). Remove control cable (6) from cable bracket (7).
