Do not allow handsor fingers to get between lockring andlockring groove when installing lockring orinjury to personnel may result.·Raised notch on lockring must face awayfrom wheel or lockring will not seat properlyin lockring groove, causing lockring tounseat, possibly causing injury to personnel.·Cracked, broken, bent, or otherwisedamaged rim components shall not bereworked, welded, brazed, or otherwiseheated or damage or personal injury ordeath may result.·No heat shall be applied to a multi-piecewheel or wheel component or damage orinjury or death may result.(12)Position lockring (6) in lockring groove (9)with raised notch facing up and outward.CAUTIONThe lockring can be snapped into position evenlyaround the entire lockring groove with the aid of asoft faced hammer. Do not use a steel sledge ormallet or damage to lockring or lockring groovewill result.(13)Using tire irons, pry the lockring (6) into thelockring groove (9) around the wheel (11).Check that the lockring “snaps” into thelockring groove all around the wheel.WARNINGLockring must be fully seated in lockring groovearound the entire circumference or lockringcould unseat during tire inflation, causingserious injury to personnel.(14)Check that lockring (6), side ring (7),ol“wheel (11) are assembled correctly.WARNINGIf lockring ends touch, reposition or replacelockring, or injury or death to personnel mayresult. Destroy defective lockring so it cannot bereused.(15)Check that ends of lockring (6) do nottouch.
