16-49.3 TANK VENT DRAIN REMOVAL/INSTALLATION (M978) (CONT).
a. Removal.
(1)
Remove plug (1) from tank vent opening (2).
(1.1) Remove three clamps (3) from elbow (4) and vent hose (5).
(2)
Remove vent hose (5), hose mender (6), and elbow (4) from reducer bushing (7).
(3)
Remove reducer bushing (7) from tank vent opening (2).
NOTE
Lockwasher and nut are inside stowage box.
(4)
Remove nut (8), lockwasher (9), screw (10), clip (11), and vent hose (5) from stowage box (12).
