Removal.
NOTE
Tag and mark air lines before disconnecting.
There are two types of non-arctic brake chambers, an old style and a new style.
Both are removed and repaired the same way, and are interchangable. Refer to
TM 9-2320-279-24P for correct parts identification if chambers must be repaired or
replaced.
Arctic brake chamber is no longer used, and has been replaced with a new style
brake chamber. Replace all arctic brake chambers with the new style brake
chamber if arctic chamber needs repair. Refer to TM 9-2320-279-24P for parts
identification.
There are two types of brake chamber brackets. Model A has the brake chamber on
the front side of the bracket. Model B has the brake chamber on the rear side of the
bracket.
All brake chambers are installed on either Model A or Model B brake chamber
brackets the same way.
Model B uses a straight fitting instead of an elbow.

Disconnect air line (1) from elbow (2) on brake chamber (3).
