WARNING
If vehicle has been operating,
use extreme care to avoid be-
ing burned when removing
cooling system radiator cap.
Use heavy rag or gloves to pro-
tect hands. Turn radiator cap
only one-half turn counter-
clockwise and allow pressure
to be relieved before fully re-
moving cap.
NOTE
Diesel engine slobber is an in-
herent condition of diesel en-
gines. When engines are al-
lowed to idle for prolonged peri-
ods of time, this characteristic
may be interpreted as a Class Ill
leak. Check engine oil level. If
there is any doubt, consult with
your supervisor or unit mainte-
nance.
Remove radiator cap and check
radiator for coolant level. Cool-
ant level should be approximate-
ly one inch (25 mm) from bottom
of fitter neck, If fluid level is low,
fill to appropriate level.
